Re: Witness the Next-Generation of Extreme Sport Take Off: The X-CALIBUR SKATESHIP
I just Laughed my ass off Todd.
And Kelly, you just cracked me up too.
"Extreme" should never be used again unless it is intended to make someone laugh. If these boards can go faster then 40mph, then that would be fun. Over 40mph on a skateboard is fun. Going around in a circle looks silly.

Re: Witness the Next-Generation of Extreme Sport Take Off: The X-CALIBUR SKATESHIP
I am a 50 year old young spirit. six years ago bored with life i took a skateboard and the rest from an electric scooter rear end joined them at the hip and rode off on the very first electricallty powered skateboard. Six years later and dozen of skateboarders later I founded the X-Calibur SKATEBOARD MANUFACTURING COMPANY. OUR NEW MANUFACTURING ARM. IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THE ARRIVAL OF THE FIRST ELECTRICALLY POWERED FULL RACE SKATEBOARD IN THE WORLD. PLEASE CHECKOUT OUR WEB-SITES.
www.pacificfilmgroup.com
www.napsr.bz wwwx-caliburskateboard.com then call me at 1-805-813-1908 Im looking for racers interested in Powered Skateboard Racing .Thats 40mph around the velodrome. The Encino Velodrome. this is our second year of races . The 2010 season is already proving to be a hard fought competition

Re: Witness the Next-Generation of Extreme Sport Take Off: The X-CALIBUR SKATESHIP
Well, it looks closer to a scooter then a skateboard due to the single large back wheel. As far as using it more like a skateboard the original gas powered moto boards deliver more in that range from what I know and what this looks like. As a travel vehicle and race vehicle this might have some future to it. I would think a gas powered unit would be faster if it is designed purely for speed with off the shelf components.
I think this looks more along the lines of a ??? Segway ??? (spelling/name?) type of concept or new commuter vehicle. I know some of the previous electric skateboards did lack in power and battery charge life. I would steer away from the core skate community and go after the college/nerdy/ipod/treehugger market instead.
IMHO

Re: Witness the Next-Generation of Extreme Sport Take Off: The X-CALIBUR SKATESHIP
...so how is that better than a bicycle or a long board? Also, this is what belongs on the velodrome
