Florida Bowlriders Cup 2009

I wish I could put into words how much fun the Florida Bowlriders Cup is. It's held over a 3 day weekend at 3 different parks and turns out some of the best skateboarders from Florida and around the nation recently. It's a unique experience where nearly everybody knows everybody. Martin Ramos, owner of KONA Skatepark, does a terrific job and this years final adjustment on skatepark locations was the icing on the cake. Cocoa Beach skatepark is phenomenal, the brand new New Smyrna Beach skatepark, which I've recently posted some photos of in the Pictures forum and the infamous KONA skatepark. Some of the pics are older, just showing the parks. If you like great times this event is for you. I'm posting a few photos from each park for you to view. The first park is Kona, the second park is Cocoa Beach and the last one is the New Smyrna Beach skatepark. Hope all is well West Coast.

Hey Fred thanks for the post. How deep are those bowls? I know the deepbowl at cocoa is bout 10 how bout the others?

THe New SMyrna bowl is 9 and 1 and KONA's is, I believe 10 foot. Both are Team PaIN Built bowls. They re-did KONA's a few years back. Some may remember the gnarly ole KONA bowl back in the day...

I took Matt Boyster to the airport this morning...him and Bennett are up in the air as we speak heading over for the 3 day event. SMA is showing up to skate.
