Re: New Venice Beach Park
Hell yeah, hope it is really going to be built soon. Anyone know if it's supposed to be free/padless?
A skatepark in the USA that is right on the beach, about time!! Girls in bikinis right next to some good transition, sounds like heaven or Bondi/Marseilles.
To everyone that worked on this project, thanks!!!

Re: New Venice Beach Park
Bumping this. What's the word on this? The article said construction was supposed to start by the end of October. I was over there about two weeks ago and there were no signs of any work being done.

Re: New Venice Beach Park
According to Juice ( http://www.juicemagazine.com/juicehomenews.html )....
VENICE SKATEPARK UPDATE - The long-awaited news is that the Venice Skatepark is finally underway after years of work by the VSA and Venice locals. The equipment is out on the beach, site has been laid out and fenced off. There will be an official groundbreaking ceremony (with gold shovel) on January 24 at 1pm at the old Venice Pavilion location in Venice Beach, CA. Completion date is mid March 2009.
I'm wondering if the completion date is a mistake.
Only 2 months to build?

Re: New Venice Beach Park
That snake run is looking pretty old school. Right on the beach too, you have to dig that.

Re: New Venice Beach Park
Imma head up there, buy some bootleg t-shirts, sunglasses, incense, have my fortune read, and maybe do some grinds, I guess. Looks like bowl transfers will be readily available.
