Bellflower has a decent street area, although on the small side. Plenty of empty land for future skate terrain still exists. The bowl is very user-friendly and fun for a small one. Lots of hips and pockets to either ride as a miniramp and/or carve. Opened on June 1st, 2001

The park is always open, but there are no lights! I have mixed emotions about this skate park! I really like the pool they created. It is really unique with its fast steel coping, and all of the crazy little hips and stuff. I have to warn you though, bring your grippiest wheels because that pool is extremely slick! The street obstacles are set apart from the pool, which is a good thing, but it is small and only offers a couple rails, ledges and a pyramid sort of thing.
If you are a family guy, like myself, then I highly recommend you take your kids there early in the morning, say before 10AM. After that, this skate park transforms into a playground for delinquency. It is not patrolled by the police or managed by the city at all. As a matter of fact it is adjacent to the bike trail along the San Gabriel River, and you need to walk through two gates and over one bridge just to get to where they built the skate park. There is a lot of extra land there, so lets hope they add some new features to the skate park and construct some sort of facility to help manage it and keep the delinquency to the minimum! Overall, I have a lot of fun skating the pool with my kids when there isn't a bunch of kids loitering in and around the skate park smoking pot and drinking beer. A great alternative to an early morning surf when the waves are flat! Check it out for yourself!
